Weekend Hussler Stakes (LR)
Taking his record to five wins from seven starts including now four on the trot, Chetwood is clearly destined for further glory after a dominating win here. His rider, James McDonald, was able to settle in second from barrier eight two lengths behind the strong pacemaker (Sistine Demon). The lead increased but McDonald sat, unmoved, all the way to the turn. As they straightened, McDonald allowed Chetwood to cruise up alongside the leader and past the 200m the race was over although there was no dawdling as the rider kept him up to his work to the line for an easy win. Rough Justice was a distant fourth down the side and around the last corner, pulled out into the clear as they straightened yet took a few strides to really get going and ran on best of the rest without endangering the winner. Sistine Demon led from the jump, increased his lead down the side, was collared by the winner at the 200m and held on gamely for third.
