Two-year-old colt Nikitas, a half-brother to VRC Oaks winner Jameka (Myboycharlie), was really impressive winning here on debut. He began well from his wide barrier (13) and showed good pace to cross to the front. He then steadied the tempo, travelling well and drew clear at the 200m. He then continued to increase his lead before scoring an easy win, sprinting home in a smart 34.84 (last 600m).
