Godolphin-raced mare Manicure staged a smart first-up effort in winning here, taking her record to three wins (two placings) from seven starts in recording her first stakes success here. She began well and settled nicely outside the leader (Our Crown Mistress). She got the better of that runner and went to the front at the 200m and then went on to win comfortably. Her stablemate Demerara raced in seventh place on the rails, was blocked on straightening, got between runners at the 200m and then ran on well for second. Warranty had a good trip from her inside barrier (1), racing fourth on the rails. She went to third at the 200m and then battled on to hold that position to the post, finishing just in front of fourth-placed Our Crown Mistress who led the field until halfway down the straight.
