All Victorian Sprint Final (LR)
Consistent SA-trained Riziz began well and was eased to race just behind the leaders following a moderate early pace (first 600m 36.46). He switched around heels to challenge passing the 400m and drew away to win well by just over a length, dashing home in quick time (last 600m 33.76). Livigno was well back, in the centre of the track with cover, before switching out at the 400m. He got to second at the 100m and kept fighting on to hold that position to the post. Nicholls Court was handily placed just behind the leading division before challenging at the 300m. He then kept fighting on quite well for third after seeming to have every chance. *ANZ
