The Bart Cummings (G3)
Who Shot Thebarman made it back to back wins, benefiting from a smart ride early on from jockey Glen Boss. Jumping from the widest barrier, Boss held his mount up and found room to slot him across to settle two wide in sixth. Marksmanship was up with the pace in third, getting a dream run a length off the early leader, Master’s Degree and took up the running with 200m to run. Boss, however, was delivering the perfect late run down the centre of the course and quickly collared Marksmanship as Who Shot Thebarman proved more than up to the task, eased down in the end to win by two and a half lengths. Anudjawun had tracked Marksmanship on the fence throughout but was brought out off the rails to finish a game third.
