Mss Security Sprint (LR)
Reparations scored a surprise first-up win but did so in impressive fashion. He was eased to race back behind the leading division before switched towards the rails side nearing the 200m. He then dashed clear and although drifting right back towards the inside rail, still went on to win by just over a length in smart time (1:08.79). He looks set for a good preparation. Another outsider Office Bearer finished second. He was also back in the field before following the winner across to the rails side at the 400m. He then fought gamely for second in his first glimpse of form since winning in March, four starts back. Final Cresendo, also a big odds, finished third. He was back beyond midfield, also went across towards the rails at the 200m and then fought on for a sound third. The favourite Target In Sight was midfield between runners, got a split going to fifth nearing the 300m before battling on fairly well for (2.2 lengths) fourth while the second favourite Iconic was handy to the pace, about fifth, had clear running from 400m but then just battled on to finish a disappointing (5 lengths) seventh.
