Progressive four-year-old gelding Care To Think is now the winner of his last five races in succession, his latest three in Queensland this preparation and he stepped up in class to win in impressive fashion here. He began quickly but was trapped deep in fourth place from his outside barrier (16). He then moved up well rounding the home turn, took the lead at the 200m and went on to score comfortably despite a difficult trip, looking set for even better things. Arbeitsam was smartly away and went straight to the front and then set quite a good tempo. He was challenged nearing the 200m and kept battling back well for a good second after running a bold race. Snippets Land was slow to move and settled back in 12th place, got along the inner coming to the home turn, continued along the rails to be third at the 200m and battled on quite well to hold that position at the post.
