Mitsubishi Conquering Wfa (LR)
Admiral added to his impressive record in taking out his eighth Tasmanian stakes race, which was his 14th win in 24 starts to date. Having his third run this preparation, he had a good trip in fifth place (one off the rails) from barrier two, improved (wide) from the 600m. He then moved up strongly to take the lead shortly after turning for home and still had enough in hand to score a good win, albeit narrowly at the post. Hellova Street went to the front, looked beaten when headed on passing the 200m but then lifted gamely under pressure, coming back in the closing stages for second, beaten a head. Jerilderie Letter had a nice trip from his inside barrier (1) racing in fourth place on the rails. He got along the inner at the 200m and then kept fighting on well for third in a promising effort at his second run this preparation.
