1print.Com.Au Carlyon Stakes (LR)
Broken had a good trip, sixth one off the rails following a fast early pace. He switched between runners rounding the home turn, went to third at the 100m and finished too well to score by just under a length. Chosen To Fly showed good pace and settled third, before moving up three wide at the turn. He challenged at the 100m and fought on gamely for a good second. Golden Sunshine travelled well in fourth one out and one back, before improving wide out rounding the home turn. She put in a strong run at the 100m and kept fighting on for a good first-up third. General Truce was eased early on and settled eighth, one off the rails. He made a wide run approaching the home turn and battled on well wide out in the straight for a sound fourth, beaten just over a length. Pocket Rockets finished fast from near last for a good fifth while the One Thousand Guineas (Gr 1, 1600m) winner Commanding Jewel was fifth on the rails, got an inside run to be third at the turn and seemed to have every chance before finishing a first-up sixth, beaten just under two lengths. The favourite Adamantium led but was pressured by the speedy Adebisi and he understandably tired in the closing stages for close-up seventh, beaten two lengths. *ANZ
