Sweet Sherry, having her first run since running a bold race to finish seventh in the Golden Slipper Stakes (Gr 1, 1200m) in March, resumed to score a narrow but good win. She was eased in the early stages and settled in sixth place on the rails, behind a very steady early tempo (first 600m 37.82). She got through on the inner nearing the home turn, got to the front on straightening and then fought back well to score in a photo. Tan Tat Beauty settled in seventh place (wide with cover) from her outside barrier (9). She went deep and improved at the home turn, challenged strongly at the 100m and then fought well for a close second. Motown Lil settled in last place (wide with cover) from barrier eight. She improved wide (under riding) rounding the home turn and then ran on really well to take a very good third in a photo. Zamzam was smartly away, settled outside the leader (Monkey Magic), got to a narrow lead at the home turn and then kept fighting on for (1.5 lengths) fourth in a sound first-up effort.
