Zoustar Stocks Stakes (G2)
I Am A Star returned to form at her fourth run this preparation to take out her sixth Group victory in 19 starts. She was quickly away and soon went to the front and then travelled well in front. She was challenged approaching the home turn but drew clear on straightening and then went on to score well. Flying Jess raced back in eighth place, one off the rails, before improving switching deep nearing the home turn. She got to fourth on turning for home and then ran on particularly well for a very good second in a smart effort at her third run this preparation. Hell Or Highwater raced outside the leader and eventual winner (I Am A Star). She was under pressure approaching the home turn but kept battling on gamely to take a good third. Smart As You Think was midfield (with cover) before making a wide move at the 600m. She got to third at the home turn and kept fighting on well for fourth. Consommateur battled on nicely for fifth while Lizzie L’Amour looked unlucky. She was midfield on the rails, but was pushed back to near last nearing the home turn. She then came with a strong run for a late-closing sixth.
