The promising three-year-old Bernabeu broke through for his first win in three starts. He travelled well in sixth place before switching around heels on straightening. He easily took the lead at the 200m and then battled on well for a good win from his four-yearold rival Power Supply who came from seventh at the 600m for a sound second. The Darley-raced colt Himation was handy (but wide in parts) most of the way and held on quite well for third on debut. *ANZ
