Dothraki jumped as well as any and took full advantage of an inside draw to take a nice trail on the rails as they settled. Rounding the turn, still third, he was presented with a beautiful run upon straightening and ranged up to That’s A Good Idea, who immediately fought back hard, these two knuckling down to a good battle for 200m. With 50m remaining Dothraki gradually put his head in front and at the line wore down That’s A Good Idea’s fight back by a half length, providing a stirring finish. The best run of the race came from Artlee who was well back on the rails approaching the straight. Pulling off the rails he still had one behind him at the 300m and appeared to be battling. Inside the 100m he was giving the leaders at least six lengths but threaded his way through and flashed up to grab third to be less than a length from the winner - a stunning finish.
