Bjorn Baker-trained filly Lady Sniper put up a really smart effort in winning here. She began well today, was then eased from her wide barrier (9) and settled back in eighth place (wide with cover). She moved up (deep) rounding the home turn, challenged strongly nearing the 100m and finished too well for a very good win. Her effort also confirmed the form of Godolphin’s talented filly Ghisoni (Lonhro) who defeated Lady Sniper at her previous start. Favourite Hellbent showed good early pace the travelled well outside the leader (Bitburg) going at a quick tempo. He gradually got the better of the leader and went to the front at the 150m, only to be run down nearing the post for a good second after working on the pace most of the way. Stoker was eased from his wide barrier (10) raced back in tenth position, went deep from the 300m and finished well for a really good third. Lucky Fish was sixth on the rails, was under riding nearing the home turn and kept responding, battling on well along the rails in the latter stages for a sound (1.2 lengths) fourth.
