Three-year-old filly Marple Miss continues to build a good record now winning four of her seven starts, her last three in succession. She was quickly away before settling outside the leader, she easily went to the front at the 300m and then drew clear over the latter stages to win comfortably by a length and a quarter. Manoeuvring had a nice trip in fourth place on the rails, went through along the rails to challenge at the 250m and then fought on for second. Dupe ‘Em was a bit slow to move and settled back in seventh place on the rails. He switched out nicely rounding the home turn, looked a threat at the 200m and then fought on to just miss second in photo, putting up a sound effort with his top weight (59kg) for third. Herne’s Oak missed the start and was last in the early stages but he recovered quickly and settled in third place, with cover. He looked dangerous when he challenged at the 200m but battled from that point to finish (2.1 lengths) fourth.
