Office Bearer scored a strong win after racing three wide without cover. He settled down in fifth position three wide facing the breeze about four lengths from the early leader Planet Voyage. He improved his position four wide approaching the 600m and was looming up at the top of the straight. He took the lead under hands and heels riding at the 250m then drew away to score well. Go The Knuckle was sound in defeat he was taken back to last from his wide barrier but could not get in racing three wide with a trail. He improved his position at the 600m slightly over racing under Jack Hill. He flushed out the widest in the home straight and worked to the line solidly without ever looking a serious winning chance. Happy Galaxy showed a return to form. He settled down third last on the fence. He was looking for run on the back of the leaders in the straight and finished on well when finally in the clear inside the 100m to grab third in a three-way photo finish. *ANZ
