Jockey Opie Bosson had designs on the lead with So Wotif, and after pressing forward crossed to the rail at the 800 metres. He travelled comfortably at a strong pace, sprinted to a handy advantage when Bosson switched his whip to the left hand at the 250 metres and responded well to continued urgings. A debut winner at his previous start, Albany Reunion showed both ability and courage after receiving a harrowing trip, wide in fifth, for second. There was a decent gap to third placed Dorian Grey, who ran on strongly from back in the field to claim a weakening Little Wonder inside the final 100 metres. Stealing a rails run from last, Sacred Point was closing late for fifth. *ANZ
