We were with him last week at close to double figure odds and he went oh so close to scoring.

Despite never winning over the 1400m, I think the quick back-up here will suit this horse who is flying.

Jack Martin produced a great ride to almost steer him home last start and drawn well, perhaps won’t be as far back this time.

I would be hesitant to open the shoulders up should the rain come but anything Soft or better, I think he’s a great each way play again.

Race 7 #11 Wonderful Mistake

My best bet today comes at a nice price, with Gratz Vella's Wonderful Mistake lining up in the final event.

She showed great talent as a 2YO racing against the older horses before failing at the Wagga Carnival where I think she'd just come to the end of her preparation. She has been sighted once since, as a 3YO, winning impressively at Gundagai.

I'd argue she's drawn well, in the wide barrier, where she can settle midfield with cover behind a hot speed. I'm hoping she'll be charging over them late at nice each way odds.
