Summer carnival racing continues at Eagle Farm this afternoon with a number of features taking place headed by the Gateway (Race 8), plenty to play for in the race with connections of the winner landing a ‘golden ticket’ into next year’s Group 1 Stradbroke. Unexpected showers overnight have put the track in the soft range coming up a (6) this morning however there’s no more around & this track will dry out very quickly. First of 10 races gets underway at 12.13pm local time.
