Brisbane’s Road to Magic Millions will be a scene of festive merriment and racing action this Saturday 20 December at Eagle Farm.

With Christmas Holidays in full swing there’s no better way to fill the time than an exciting day out with friends and family at Seven Grand Prix Stakes Raceday.

The Group 3 Seven Grand Prix Stakes headlines the day’s trio of black-type races, which also includes two Listed races: the Ladbrokes Gold Edition Plate and Moreton Hire Lough Neagh Stakes.

The Seven Grand Prix Stakes provides an early look into this season’s crop of three-year old middle-distance specialists while also offering an eye to next year’s Stradbroke Season.

The honour roll features Kovalica (2022) and Gypsy Goddess (2021) who later won the Queensland Derby and Queensland Oaks respectively.

From the exclusive list of horses that have completed the Grand Prix Stakes–Queensland Derby double, Kingston Town’s effort in 1980 stands out. He achieved the feat when the Grand Prix was formerly held in May during Stradbroke Season.

Also included on this weekend’s card is the Listed Ladbrokes Gold Edition Plate, where last year’s Group 3 Magic Millions B.J. McLachlan Stakes winner, Icarian Dream, will kick off her summer campaign.

The Moreton Hire Lough Neagh Stakes rounds out the day’s schedule of black type races as Rothfire, the ‘Thriller from Chinchilla,’ opens his summer account.
