Giddy Up with Gareth Hall expands to five days a week on Racing.com
By SEN Track
One of Australia’s most popular racing shows, Giddy Up with Gareth Hall, will now be available to watch five days a week on Racing.com from this coming Monday, March 9.
Previously airing on Racing.com each Thursday and Friday, the expanded broadcast schedule means racing fans can now watch the show live from 8am to midday AEDT, Monday to Friday. The program will also continue to be heard across the SENTrack, RSN and SENTurf networks.
Already Australia’s number 1 racing podcast and most popular racing radio show, the increased days on Racing.com – available on Seven’s channel 68/78, 7Plus, Foxtel’s channel 529 and Kayo – makes it now one of the most widely distributed racing radio shows in history.
Popular segments include Monday Means Test with Wayne Hawkes and John O’Neill, and The Hunter’s Edge with Mark Hunter.
Giddy Up’s ongoing partnership with Bet365 and Racing.com Media has helped make the full time TV move possible for 20 hours a week of live content.
Host, Gareth Hall, said he was thrilled to take the TV version of the show to a full weekday schedule.
“To bring Giddy Up to Racing.com five days a week is a huge thrill,” Hall said. “The show has built an incredibly passionate following, and extending the TV offering means we can take our analysis, discussions and storytelling to even more racing fans. We’ve developed something really special with our regular experts and loyal audience, and I can’t wait to continue that energy across the full week.”
Sports Entertainment Group chief executive, Craig Hutchison, said the expansion reflects the program’s popularity and the strength of the racing audience.
“Giddy Up has become essential listening for racing fans around the country, and this extension with Racing.com is a testament to the quality of Gareth’s work and the connection he has with the audience,” Hutchison said. “The five‑day TV schedule builds on an already exceptional product, and we’re proud to continue our working with our partners to keep growing racing to new frontiers and increased audiences.”
Andy Hoad, EGM – Media, Content and Marketing at Racing Victoria, added;
“Racing.com’s strategy is focused on live, engaging coverage that brings fans closer to the sport, and Giddy Up with Gareth Hall delivers exactly that. It's immediate, breaking racing news and opinion, and it's a genuinely valuable addition to Racing.com's audience. Gareth is an exceptionally knowledgeable host with a real passion for the sport, and we're thrilled to have Racing.com as the home for this show five days a week.”
