NEVER ORDINARY had solid specking and ran a super race on speed when beaten 0.12 lengths behind Rebel Tuesday in the Listed Cinderella Stakes on debut. She looks a promising filly who can go one better here from a good barrier. LALOR is on the back-up after he had solid support beaten on debut when beaten 4.22 lengths behind Rich On Bubbles in the Magic Millions feature at Murray Bridge last week. TIKKAMOS debuts for Andrew Gluyas and was 2nd in an Oakbank trial behind NEVAU who debuts for Jon O’Connor.
SELECTIONS: 2 NEVER ORDINARY, 1 Lalor, 4 Tikkamos, 3 Neveu
PLAY: Happy to watch the youngsters
RACE 2 - 12:27PM M&J Chickens Handicap (1300 METRES)
MATING CALL is an exciting filly who was impressive, winning her maiden on debut at Balaklava on September 10 and was then very good running 3rd in the G2 Edward Manifold and then again when beaten 3.25 lengths in 5th behind Ole Dancer in the G1 Thousand Guineas. She trialled well at Morphettville in early February and again was good behind Prairie Flower in a recent Oakbank trial. This isn’t her grand final, but her class will take her a long way. LIGHT THE NIGHT has the fitness advantage on a couple of his rivals here, beating Safe Bet on the outer track before being beaten 4.42 lengths behind Shadhavar in the Magic Millions 3&4YO at Murray Bridge last week. He draws out but looks perfectly placed here. SIR MYKA has been solid in two runs back, running 3rd behind stablemate Violet Lovebug on the outer track before another good effort beating home all but Mathematician there last time. The winner has done so even more impressively since he draws the inside and should be in the finish. Stablemate OAK PARK MADDISON has been racing well, winning two of her three back in class, the latest bolting in by 8.84 lengths at Port Lincoln. She’ll be on speed. MATAHGA hasn’t raced since he was well beaten behind Sheza Albi in the G2 Sandown Guineas back on November 15. He was good in an Oakbank trial last week behind Uptown Monk and should be in the mix. KALMANA hasn’t raced since he was beaten 3.45 lengths behind Freedom Flame in the Listed Hill Smith back on October 18. He has trialled well and is only going to get better as he gets out in trip.
SELECTIONS: 1 MATING CALL, 3 Light The Night, 5 Sir Myka, 2 Matahga
PLAY: Keen on the exciting MATING CALL
RACE 3 - 1:02PM Sportsbet Same Race Multi Maiden Plate (1400 METRES)
IROQUAI was $4.20-$3.30 first-up from a spell when beaten 1.79 lengths behind One Whim at Balaklava. She draws a good gate and should give this a shake. SICILIAN PRINCESS has been placed at two of three since resuming, the latest beaten 0.7 lengths behind Ramasis here. She draws the middle and looks well placed again. THUNDARA was first-up in Australia in that race, beaten 1.82 lengths, and should be thereabouts again. SILENT ANSWER was easy in betting when beaten 3.4 lengths behind Seychelles at Pakenham first-up. SHE REX was placed on the outer track two runs back and then beaten 4.17 lengths behind Dazelles at Gawler last time. She draws a nice barrier. LOVE TO LIE was beaten 2.28 lengths in 3rd behind Grinzinger Gold at Port Lincoln last time. MISS PUISSSANCE was specked at massive odds when beaten 3.09 lengths behind Flying Brant at Balaklava last time.
SELECTIONS: 5 IROQUAI, 12 Sicilian Princess, 14 Thundara, 7 She Rex
PLAY: Staying out
RACE 4 - 1:37PM Adelaide Galvanising Industries Handicap (1300 METRES)
AUTUMN FROST was a winner here back in November and had two jumps-outs leading into last time when he was pestered on speed and did a game job to go down 0.31 lengths behind Acapella Moon. He looks hard to beat from a middle gate. THREATENING comes through that race beaten 5.98 lengths. STOKOMO has been runner-up his past three, the latest beaten 0.68 lengths behind Annihilate here over the 1400m. He has plenty of weight but should be in the finish again. YOU’RESOGOLDEN was good behind Light The Night two runs back and then beaten 1.79 lengths by I Am Piki at Murray Bridge last week. He draws the inside and should get a gun run down in the weights. SYNTHESISSE was a Balaklava winner on December 3 and then placed behind Conni Island before a short break. She has jumped-out and trialled well. BENEFITSOFMINE was good late first-up beaten 0.85 lengths behind Geegee Jet By at Kilmore. He draws an awkward gate but has upside. TRIPOD TERROR has been placed at his past two, the latest at Port Lincoln, beaten 1.59 lengths in a Class 1.
SELECTIONS: 2 AUTUMN FROST, 1 Stokomo, 8 You’resogolden, 5 Benefitsofmine
PLAY: Staying with AUTUMN FROST
RACE 5 - 2:12PM Sportsbet Jockey Watch Handicap (1000 METRES)

MINTULEE was beaten 1.75 lengths behind Nextonixs and was a good winner here two starts back. NOT SURPRISED has won two of five for the Freedman stable and was a dominant 3.05 lengths Ballarat winner last time when she led. The inside gate looks ideal. BRISTLER continues to race well, running 2nd at three of his past four, the latest beaten 0.07 lengths by Invertational on the outer track. WALK LIKE AN ANGEL doesn’t win out of turn but has had a jump-out and Oakbank trial since, when it was $7.50-$4.80 beaten 5.22 lengths at Murray Bridge back on January 11. RIDEAU is first-up for Garret Lynch and has won two of his past four in Queensland, the latest at Townsville on December 28.

IRONBAR was placed behind Big Brite at Strathalbyn two runs back and then followed up with an impressive 3.01 lengths win over Prodigal Lad at Strathalbyn. He draws wide but should be somewhere in the finish. UNITED LEGEND was good first-up from a break at odds running 3rd beaten 3.73 lengths behind Acapella Moon on the Parks track. TARAASHOQ ran well beaten 3.29 lengths behind Gold Spirit at Murray Bridge last time and maps to get a nice run.

PLAY: Playing SCANDLAIZE each-way
RACE 7 - 3:22PM The Craig Fitzy's 60 Fireball Classic Handicap (2275 METRES)
NO RUMOURS made good ground from the back when beaten 3.12 lengths in the G3 Launceston Cup last time. He was among early Adelaide Cup nominations and will appreciate this drop in class from last time. BURING BRIGHT comes up to this trip for the first time after a solid effort in the Port Lincoln Cup beaten 1.28 lengths behind Exceleman. She draws to get a gun run from the inside. LAUDING was good when beaten 1.45 lengths behind The Western Front at Cranbourne last time. He’s a Moonee Valley winner in BM78 grade, and his best would be somewhere in the finish here; he’s going to need some luck from the gate. TYUSIX is another coming through a luckless Port Lincoln Cup run when she covered ground and was beaten 0.53. You could make a case she should have won that, and her previous when narrowly beaten by Somewhere Soon on the outer track. ANDREW’S MEMORY is chasing three wins in succession and appears to be thriving as he’s got up in trip. He was too good for Savsonic here last time over the 1966m and gets some help with the 2kg claim. CONNI ISLAND ran OK, beaten 5.16 lengths in the G3 Lord Reims behind Eventually, and then went to Edenhope and was beaten 3.5 lengths behind Khor.
SELECTIONS: 5 NO RUMOURS, 4 Burning Bright, 2 Lauding, 8 Tyusix

RACE 8 - 3:57PM Sportsbet Get On Extra Handicap (1400 METRES)
FRINGES is a big watch, a former New Zealand 3yo filly making her local debut for Michael Hickmott. She was big odds winning her maiden at Otaki back on December 26, tackled the G2 Lowland Stakes at Trentham at her second start and was beaten 2.8 lengths behind The Exponent at Otaki last time. She hasn’t been seen at the trials or jump-outs and draws a good gate. VERCELLI went to Clare to score a 1.52 lengths maiden win before she finished strongly beaten 0.71 lengths in 2nd behind I Am Piki at Murray Bridge last week. She draws the inside and should give this a shake. CHILLCUZ is racing well coming off the speed to record a 0.6 length Balaklava win last time in a BM58. She gets in well with the claim from a good gate and is sure to be in the mix. EXTRA HOT comes off a good first-up run when beaten 1.16 lengths behind Purfect Line at Kangaroo Island. She’s placed at all three runs this track and trip. EXALTED KATE was freshened following two wins back in class and was beaten 1.75 lengths behind I Am Piki at Murray Bridge last week. RACE 9 - 4:37PM Sportsbet Black Book Handicap (1550 METRES)
ANNIHILATE flashed home from the back two runs back and was then a 0.68 lengths winner over Stokomo here last time. He draws a sticky gate but this looks another very winnable race. FLASHING STEEL was good when beaten 3.36 lengths in 4th behind Bamyan Buddha in a BM80 last time. He has been placed here, gets a nice claim and looks a danger from the inside gate. FOLLOWING SEA was big odds first-up and OK beaten 3.19 lengths Wichitall on the outer track. SPARKUP stuck on well after leading when beaten 1.79 lengths by Midlife Crisis here last time. He’ll roll forward and give another bold sight.
SELECTIONS: 2 ANNIHILATE, 1 Flashing Steel, 6 Following Sea, 4 Sparkup
PLAY: Backing ANNIHILATE
RACE 10 - 5:18PM Dominant Clean Sweep Handicap (1250 METRES)
TOUGH TALK is a progressive 4yo who made it two in succession, beating subsequent winner Acapella Moon here back on February 14. He draws a perfect gate and the jump to 1550m looks ideal. ONE MORE SONG resumes and won two in succession before a break, beating Global Turn and Brown Nose Day Gal, which is good form. She has placed in two trials leading in, the wide gate is against, but she should be in the mix. SASSY FOR SURE was well tried first-up in SA, beaten 1.52 lengths behind Violet Lovebug, and then in the market again, beaten 4.08 lengths behind the impressive Mathematician on the outer track last time. DAZELLES was a Gawler maiden winner beating Glouf before she went to 1400m last time and was beaten 4.03 lengths behind Dirty Old Town here. She draws out but should run well. SHADOW EAGLE has been placed at three of five runs here and was beaten 2.73 lengths behind In Love here last time. SHARENDIPITY was beaten 4.39 lengths in that race and the blinkers come off here. CUBAN WATERS has won two of his past three, the latest at Balaklava, beating Big Mav, and he draws a gate to be prominent.
