The AFL’s State of Origin will be back in 2027.

Following its return earlier this year between Western Australia and Victoria, the concept will go again next year, but with a major change.

Channel 7’s Mitch Cleary is reporting that South Australia will be involved in the next edition with clubs informed that SA will take on WA in Perth.

The likes of Jordan Dawson, Brodie Grundy, Lachie Neale, Nasiah Wanganeen-Milera, Jason Horne-Francis, Izak Rankine and Cal Wilkie will get their chance to don the red, blue and gold.

But who will Kozzy Pickett play for? He received special consideration to represent WA in February this year, but he was born in SA and drafted out of the SANFL.
