By SENTrack

Cam Luke & David Taggart have your Saturday sorted on Trackside.

The lads have taken a close look at Sandown, Eagle Farm & Rosehill in a bid to find the family some winners.

See their best bets below:👇

Cam Luke

SANDOWN

Race 3 | 6. Oraqua

The First Chorus form seems to be the right from and I was confident this girl could turn tables. Worked home well in wrong part of the track last start. Stays at the 1600 and 3rd up is now ready to peak. They will walk here and she can stalk Cooly making it hard for horses to run on. Wet track no issue and will be very hard to beat.

Race 5 | 9. Boltsaver

Can quite often find one better but conditions to suit today in the Heavy gives this bloke a big chance. He nevr runs a bad race at 1400 either and has had a good prep sp far, his run at the Bool 2 back brilliant. He needs some speed but should get it (El Rocko / Grid / Punch) This is a little tougher but he is down in the weights and will run another good race and hopefully get his head down at the right time today.

Race 6 | 6. Hi Dubai (top 6)

Now there is a decent school of thought she hasn’t come back well. I am not saying she is back to her chasing AG form but she has had zero luck in both runs. She comes back to 1000, claims 2kg, gets on a HT, good gate to go control the race and is always at her best 3rd up! I backed her Top 6 at $3.60 and with some luck we will see her improve a lot than the last couple.

Race 7 | 5. Simurgh

Is in a rich vein of form and last start even in winning he looked like he needed 2400. He gets it today on a track I think will suit him. HT no issue and he hits it 4th up for the 1st time and will be at peak fitness. He does meet SK worse of at the weights but Straand is the danger. Speed has dropped away with scratchings so the tactics will be intriguing but Simurgh will need to get on his bike early and out tough SD and I think he will.

EAGLE FARM

Race 1 | 2. Yellow Jersey

Here with greater plans and the rain certainty helps him. Trialled up well, was really good in France with his last run being placed at G2 behind a couple including DH. Mile is well short of his pet trip but he can allow the speed to get him into a groove and I think he'll enjoy EF. The trial makes me think he has the speed in his legs over this trip and will be too classy. They are talking Cox Plates if they really are, he deals with these.

Race 4 | 10. Within The Law

Crying out for the 1600 and gets it today. I'll admit I'm flat Sixties isn't here as she had his measure as well and price would have been better. Drawn perfectly to stalk the speed and hit the line like she did in the FB. Heavy won't be any issue and Skyhook will need to work to control it from that gate and I doubt runs a strong 1600 in this company. Tupakara is the danger. 1600 works well and the HT also a plus. Probably a smidge of class below WTL but will go into EQ

Race 7 | 2. Martist

I have liked this bloke all prep and think the 1600 suits him really nicely. The gate isn't. a huge concern as he will get back but he does need some luck and speed. Cormier should handle the latter. HT a Q as it is with a few of these (Fave handles it) and this is a little deeper than the 2 lead up runs but he has been looking for 1600 and if he gets a little luck (missing the last couple) he will go very close and is a great each way play at $14.

Race 8 | 4. Another Wil / 8. Transatlantic (both each-way, quinella, top 3 & top 7)

Have been on both of these blokes for a while for this race and all my betting plays revolve around them.

Transatlantic was a little flat to the eye last start but this is what he has been set for. Awkward draw won't hurt as TB will go forward and be on speed. 3rd up form is perfect as is the 1400. He is a proven G1 winner and he is tough and will look the winner at some point, and I am starting to warm it will be on the line! Bigger of the 2 race day bets I've had.

Another Wil after a long lay off has been good in both runs this prep and getting better. Gate isn't an issue as he will get back. 3rd up form and HT perfect as is 1400m which is his sweet spot. He will get to the middle of the track and be the horse running on late. I believe both of these will be in the finish and go a long way to fighting it out.

ROSEHILL

Race 6 | 2. Candlewick

All she needs is a little luck from the tricky gate. She flies fresh and as usual her trial was really good. Drying track is a big win and if she gets luck which the speed map suggests cover should be findable, she will run well. This is easier than her runs last prep!

Race 8 | 2. Maison Louis

Gets back onto a firmer deck and up to 2400 after having no luck last start. He will improve a bunch. Hits this 4th up and at peak fitness, he will get back so will need some luck again from inside gate but ill back AA to find it. Was really good 2 back and expect him to go very close today.

Race 10 | 4. Fiddlers Green

Mawjood (fave today) got him late last start but the conditions today suit this bloke better. Drying track the bigger win. 3kg claim helps as does 2 weeks between instead of a month and a freshen up previous to that. Couple of chances here but I think FG will be deep in the finish.

David Taggart

SANDOWN

Race 2 | 2. Brilliant Horizon (BEST)

Gave nothing else a chance last start when she resumed by leading all the way in similar conditions. Has to again come across from an outside gate but her win was good enough to go on with it here.

Race 5 | 3. Coeur Volante (value)

Was very good first up over an unsuitable trip. Her best form is second up over this trip and this is the easiest race she’s contested in for a long time. Gets in well after the claim, will be suited by the pace and is well worth an each-way play.

Race 6 | 6. Hi Dubai (value)

Is the huge value in the race given the track is heavy. Was two off Autumn Glow in a G3 on a heavy track last prep and she hits this third up where she’s 2/3.

ROSEHILL

Race 5 | 6. Surf's Up

Was brave last start when less than a length off them from an outside gate seven weeks between runs and will find this easier. Draws perfect to race closer in the run, gets a nice claim and should be going close.
