BET OF THE DAY (Sydney)

RANDWICK - Race 10 - No.1 - GLORIOUS MOMENTS - Terrific return win with 61.5kg Vs older then wrong day to be trapped wide here, he ran well. Was 1100-to-1400m there too. Good horse.

VALUE BET OF THE DAY

FLEMINGTON - Race 6 No.4 - ITS A KNOCKOUT - Liked her trial before good return in strong race when really attacked line late Vs males. To own sex and was right with good one Cool Jakey when 2nd-up last prep. Maps well. Overs $14?

Civic Stakes

Randwick - Race 9 - Listed Civic Stakes - 1400m

1 - 3 - GENERAL SALUTE - Well backed fresh despite 59kg and excellent running days 2nd-fastest last 200m Vs pattern and gave 5kg to star winner. Draws out and quickly to 1400m but there’ll be scratchings and happily on-top.

2 - 8 - COOL JAKEY - Had no easy lead here latest. But strong win beating key rival Midnight Dynamite and was 6-weeks between runs.

3 - 12 - MIDNIGHT DYNAMITE - Chased Cool Jakey there 3rd-up and gets weight swing, drawn better than key rivals. Unbeaten at 1400m too. Go well.

4 - 4 - ZABIARI - Resumes. First Oz start. Latest trial was good. Beaten 4.2L in G1 fresh last prep. An import won last race here two weeks back and was backed.

5 - 2 - BOSUSTOW - Had task fresh with weight in on-pace race. Was 1L off General Salute when they clashed last prep at 1400mand has 2kg swing.

6 - 11 - WHINCHAT - Had task fresh on hot speed in run-ons race.. Fitter anyway and proven 2nd-up. Gate?
