Race 3 - Maiden 2yo & Up 1300m

3 – 4 – 5 - 2

Confectionist has found a winnable maiden after running into a strong three-year-old field on a heavy track at Avondale on the 15th of July, her two runner-up placings in her two runs prior have her right in the mix here. Toss looks the danger, stepping up to 1300m with a senior rider engaged should see her improve third up.

Race 6 - BM72 970m

3 – 2 – 4 – 1

Anton closed well over 1300m at this track last start running the fastest last 200m to finish 4th in a competitive finish. His Cambridge Synthetic record reads well, and he has been kept fresh coming back in trip. Maps well to sit just in behind a quick speed. Lady Iris is likely to be in front of Anton at the top of the straight and is coming into this as a last start winner over the track/distance.

Race 8 - BM72 2000m

4 – 1 – 5 – 2

El Speedy Man jumps from a maiden win at the track over 2000m to BM 72 but does have the figures to stack up against this field. Lightly raced and in form vs seasoned stayers who haven’t been racing up to their mark. Bruno Queroz in the saddle aids his chances, he rides the Synthetic better than most of his NZ rivals.
