Expert form analyst Mark Hunter has taken a look at the Group 1 Manikato Stakes (1000m) at Caulfield on Saturday.

He has analysed every horse in the race, runner by runner, and believes he has found us the winner!

Hunter is with the fan favourite and proven winner Giga Kick here, but admitted this is a very tough race.

“Gee, this is a hard race. Look, I'm going to tip Giga Kick,” Hunter told SENTrack & RSN’s Giddy Up.

“Giga Kick’s last five runs over 1200m on wet ground is (the) Everest twice – first and second. TJ Smith twice – second, second. Champions Sprint - win.

“So, when he gets the soft track, 1200m, he just never runs badly.

“I thought he would win first-up at Sandown, that was just a bizarre race.

“So, Giga Kick fitter, getting to 1200m, as long as the track is soft - he's also got a chance on dry - but if the track's soft, I think he's got a fantastic hope.”

Hunter’s top three selections in the race are Giga Kick (first), Extragalactic (second) and Beiwacht (third).

Hunter also provided a YES or NO rating for each horse in the Group 1.
