BET OF THE DAY (Melbourne)

MORNINGTON - Race 7 No.3 - CONCORD CONNIE - Resumes. Trialling super. Dominant maiden win fresh last prep at 1200m then looked a G1 class mare blowing rivals away Flemington. I’m a fan.

BET OF THE DAY (Sydney)

RANDWICK - Race 4 No.1 - GENESIS RUNNER - Strong to line fresh and 6th-Diamater then won. Strong home 2nd-up at 1400m making ground on Tenenbaum who then ran a great race in a very fast G1 Golden Rose. Clear top pick.

VALUE BET OF THE DAY

RANDWICK - Race 10 No.14 - NEPO BABY - That was a very good 7th fresh when way back and held-up, she was still last 200m out then found line sweetly but race was gone. Drops 3.5kg and gets to 1200m drawn to sit much closer. $18 early looks juicy.

Race 8 - G1 TAB Turnbull Stks - SWP - 2000m

1 - 5 - AELIANA - Did little fresh in fast-run 1400m then much better 2nd-up building speed and strong through line. Yes 2000m! Won Ranvet 3rd-up last prep beating Sir Delius. Wet is no issue.

2 - 2 - SIR DELIUS - Exposed a way out fresh in Maybe Diva and battled well. Strong late when 1.1L off Aeliana 2nd-up last prep in that Ranvet. Won this last year, very well, beating Via Sistina the Cox Plate heroine.

3 - 1 - HALF YOURS - Kept closing fresh in that Maybe Diva and fitter to 2000m ticks but the big tick for him is a wet track. He is an absolute swimmer. Race-fastest last 200m this race last year to Sir Delius.. on dry.

4 - 4 - COSMIC CRUSADER - Good again latest but Birdman sailed by, he beat rest easily. Gets back onto wet, only beaten once wet and that was very good 3rd in G1 Memsie Vs pattern.

5 - 13 - SAINT GEORGE - Flying! Covered ground with weight and very good again latest… Up to G1 but SWP not WFA. Just not sure how wet he wants it is all.. Very heavy would worry me.
