Flemington’s Melbourne Cup Carnival came to a close on Saturday with the celebration of Champions Day.

Over 300,000 racing fans attended Headquarters over the four days of the Cup Carnival.

But it wasn't only the four (five) fabulous days at Flemington, we also wanted to tip the hat to the Caulfield Cup Carnival as well as the Moonee Valley Racing Club’s Cox Plate.

We’ve looked at eight race days and 74 races to encapsulate the Melbourne spring - the three Caulfield meetings (Guineas, Social and Cup), the Cox Plate (at Flemington), and then the quartet of traditional Flemington meetings - Derby Day, Melbourne Cup Day, Oaks Day and Champions Day.
