The Chris Waller-trained filly Egg Tart who showed potential in her first two starts, broke through for her first win in very good style here. She settled back in fifth place, one off the rails, in the small seven-horse field, before making a wide move nearing the home turn. She raced to the front at the 100m and then drew away to score impressively. She should appreciate further and looks a filly with a good future. The Peter and Paul Snowden-trained colt Silent Warrior went to the front, set a good tempo, grabbed a break on straightening and then held on quite well for second, having no chance with the winner whom he conceded 3.5kg.
