The Paul Messara-trained filly Hyacintha scored her first win in four starts in easy fashion. She soon crossed to the lead but she was pressured by Universal Miss who refused to settle. They established a lead of about six lengths at the 600m and she continued to tackle Hyacintha until that filly moved clear at the 200m. Hyacintha then went on to score impressively by almost six lengths, putting up a very promising effort while Universal Miss tired for (seven lengths) fourth after over-racing. *ANZ
