German-bred import Ay No Digas, now with the Kris Lees stable, won easily here at his second Australian start. He did not show much early pace from the barrier but soon moved up (trapped wide) and eventually crossed to the lead nearing the 900m point. He then travelled well and moved clear on turning for home and raced away over the final 200m to score by almost four lengths, running the distance out strongly. It was an impressive performance and he looks set to progress to far better things in this country. *ANZ
