Equal favourite Hold Your Tongue ($3.50) was smartly away from his good barrier (3), soon drove through to hold the lead and then steadied the pace. He travelled nicely in front, got a good break at the 200m and then went on to win comfortably by a length, sprinting home in a smart 34.45 for a good debut win. The filly Femmette ($3.50 equal favourite) was slowly away and remained in last place in the seven-horse field to the turn. She switched deep on straightening and put up an eye-catching effort with her late-closing second, also on debut. She looks suited to further and is a promising filly. Breckenridge had a good trip, third on the rails to the turn. He went through to second at the 200m and battled on quite well for a sound third. *ANZ
