Channel 7 Mick Dittman Plate (LR)
The speedy Agitate began brilliantly and immediately took the lead. He travelled along strongly in front, grabbed a break on turning for home and then held on well to score by a length and a quarter. It was a smart effort. The favourite Havana was fifth on the rails and was under riding from the 600m. He switched wide rounding the home turn, gradually got to second at the 100m and then kept battling on to just take second. Architect dropped out in the early stages, as usual and raced in last place to the 600m. He switched deep on straightening and came with a strong late run for third, putting up an eye-catching effort. Schillacking was third on the rails to the turn and held on in the straight for (1.6 lengths) fourth while Le Val came from 12th at the turn to finish (3.4 lengths) fifth. *ANZ
