A tough winning performance by Fantisha who raced three wide in the run before cornering on the outside of the field and letting down well in the straight and having enough in hand to hold off the late lunge of Catalonia on her inside. Fantisha covered a lot of extra ground in the run, coming from midfield in this strongly run race. She was game today. Catalonia trailed the winner into the race and switched back to her inside on straightening. She was finishing strongly, only going under by a nose. *ANZ
