Too Good To Refuse put up a really smart effort in winning here. Having his second run this preparation, he settled in last place in the 11-horse field and was conceding the leader (Primal Flight) about eight lengths nearing the home turn. He fanned very wide at the 300m and then produced a brilliant sprint to hit the front at the 100m before going on to score easily. Sony Legend raced in eighth place (on the rails), got between runners at the 300m, challenged at the 100m and then battled well for second, having no chance with the winner. The favourite Most Important was fifth, one off the rails, moved up (wide) from the 600m, briefly got to the front at the 300m and then held on for a sound third after appearing to have every chance.
