The Lee and Anthony Freedman-trained three-year-old Petition is a promising filly now being unbeaten in two runs this preparation. She travelled well in eighth place, one off the rails, tracked up well (wide with cover) from the 600m, swept to the front at the 250m and then went on to score quite impressively. The Levi Kavanagh-trained filly Soho Ruby raced in sixth pace, improved (with cover) from the 600m but was under riding when in a challenging position at the 300m. She than responded going to second at the 200m and then fought on particularly well for a good second, looking suited to further.
