The Darren Weir-trained Handsome Thief, a four-yearold who was bred in Ireland and having his first start, created quite an impression with a most impressive win on debut. He began well, settled nicely in fourth place, one out and one back, before improving coming to the home turn. He dashed to the front on straightening and then raced away to score brilliantly. He looks set for a very bright career.
