The promising Greg Eurell-trained Hosting scored a good first-up win. He settled about tenth, one off the rails, travelling well. He was blocked on straightening but got a split between runners passing the 300m. He then put in a good sprint to take the lead at the 100m and then drew clear to win well by almost two lengths. His stablemate Your Honour ($3.70 favourite) went back to be near the rear from his wide barrier (15). He then ran on very well from last at the turn for an eye-catching first-up fourth. *ANZ
