Coolmore Denise's Joy Qlty (LR)
The Gai Waterhouse and Adrian Bott-trained filly Miss Debutante was impressive in winning here. She went back from her outside barrier (16), settled near the tail of the field, behind a strong pace, before going deep on straightening. She then produced a strong finish, hit the front at the 100m and then went on to score a very smart win. The Victorian filly Snitty Kitty was smartly away from her wide barrier (15), raced in third place (without cover), briefly got to the front nearing the 100m and held on well for a good second after working on a solid tempo. Smart Amelia did not show any early pace and settled near last on the rails before getting between runners at the 200m. She then finished on nicely for a good third while Eckstein put up a promising first up effort in running on late, wide out, for (3.8 lengths) fourth after being near the tail of the field.
