The Matthew Dale-trained three-year-old gelding Il Bandito made a most impressive debut. He was a bit slow to move from his inside barrier (1) but soon improved to race in third place. He got through on the inner to take the lead at the home turn and then raced away from the 200m to score effortlessly and in quick time (57.23). He looks smart and is a horse to watch.
