The brilliant three-year-old filly Snitzerland began quickly and settled outside the leader Hay List. They had a great battle from the 600m before the filly drew clear from her older rival at the 200m, she went on to score most impressively by just under three lengths in course record time, 56.16. Decision Time, who was having his first run since October 2011, was fifth one off the rails to turn where he switched wide. He then ran on gamely for a very good second. Howmuchdoyouloveme was handy in fourth spot, three wide with cover, before going wide at the turn. He then kept fighting on well to finish a sound third, beaten just over three lengths. The high-class sprinter Hay List, having his first start for almost 12 month, showed his customary dash to take the lead. He was pressured by the eventual winner from the 600m, tiring from the 200m to finish a creditable first-up (3.4 lengths) fourth. Tiger Tees was third on the rails to the turn and seemed to have every chance before finishing a first-up (3.5 lengths) fifth. *ANZ
