This was a dubious G1 sprint as many in this have been well beaten in stronger fields and nowadays with it being set weights and penalties the race is even weaker. His trainer has not won a race at Ellerslie and it is up fifty starters now so he must be having nightmares. Pinzaara ran on okay late after finding slamming doors twice the run home, while Mosse was okay and just a pass mark. Nothing in this field is a G1 sprinter outside New Zealand and in fact maybe even G2 unless the track was a bog as then the form is meaningless wet track stuff.
