FLEMINGTON - Race 4 No.14 - YES I KNOW - Forced wide Ballarat by riderless horse and good 3rd (quinella both ran well last week here) then covered ground and just no match for key rival Fiorenot, they ran fast time/ sectionals. Now has 2.5kg swing and draws in. Blinkers on.

BET OF THE DAY (Sydney)

ROSEHILL - Race 10 No.7 - CROSS TASMAN - Returned gelded this prep and two excellent wins. Sustained long run latest yet mile too good and ran strong figures doing it. Good horse. Clear top pick.

BEST VALUE BET OF THE DAY

FLEMINGTON - Race 7 No.9 - MOBY DICK - Soft trial before good return in Sweethearted race Geelong when strong home. 3kg swing here, fitter and gets to 1200m up straight. Overs $12?

Flemington Race 8

Race 8 - BM100 - 2000m

1 - 2 - SAINT GEORGE - Given no hope Ballarat. Looked his race latest on drier and bolted in. Up to 60kg but top pick.

2 - 5 - PRECIOUS CHARM - Loved her will to win Geelong. Was wide Vs bias Lakeside prior and so gallant. 2000m is no issue. Surprised at the $14 early quote.

3 - 1 - BERKELEY SQUARE - Was of a string of forgive runs into Ballarat Cup where things panned out much better (rain came/ best part of track) and he won well sailing by Saint George (then won) there. 62kg the task.

4 - 12 - DARKBONEE - Liked his fight latest and did it with 61kg! Looks like he will relish 2000m and plummets in weights. Has upside to offset lack of substance on clock/ ratings.

5 - 10 - JENNI’S MEADOW - Good finale Cran in St George race and onto bigger track here with 1kg swing she’s in the game.

6 - 6 - SHAIYHAR - Has had plenty against of late… wasn’t far off St George prior. Improver at a price?
