Adam Simpson and Gerard Whateley have named their top four seeds following Round 1 of 2026.

Simpson and Whateley will each rank the four teams they have the most confidence in going forward on a weekly basis throughout the year.

The seedings will be updated as the season goes on via SEN’s Whateley.

See the seedings below:

SIMPSON

1 - Western Bulldogs

"The Dogs have done nothing wrong. You've got to put them there."

2 - Gold Coast

"I thought West Coast were pretty good in the second half."

3 - Sydney

"With a watch. Heeney, Gulden, and system."

4 - Geelong

"I felt bad. I wrote Geelong off, to my own demise."

WHATELEY

1 - Western Bulldogs

"The hottest team in it at the start of the season."

2 - Gold Coast

"Christian Petracca's going to win the Brownlow! That's all going swimmingly."

3 - Sydney

"If they are without Gulden and Heeney on Thursday night, what does that look like against Hawthorn?"

4 - Adelaide

"Mainly because I want the Dogs and Adelaide on Friday night to both be in the seedings

"To-do list: Beat Collingwood at the MCG. Tick."
