Sports Entertainment Network (SEN) is once again gearing up for another huge Gather Round, delivering comprehensive coverage of the AFL’s showpiece Round 5 fixture across radio, digital and on‑ground activations.

Across five days, SEN will broadcast an extraordinary 100 hours of live AFL content, beginning from 9am on Wednesday, April 8, through to the final siren of the final match of the round on Sunday, April 12, ensuring footy fans everywhere are immersed in Gather Round from start to finish.

SEN will again establish a major live broadcast hub on Station Road outside SkyCity, right on the edge of the Adelaide Oval precinct, with fans invited to come down, interact with talent and experience SEN’s live coverage across the week. All programming will be broadcast live from the Tyrepower Stage at Station Road, creating a central destination for footy conversation throughout Gather Round.

SEN’s flagship programs will broadcast live from the site, including Whateley, Fireball, Dwayne's World, Sportsday, Breakfast with Bicks & Walshy, The Run Home with Kymbo & Chad and Crunch Time, delivering continuous coverage, conversation and colour from the heart of the event.

The AFL Nation team will also be on the road, broadcasting every game of Gather Round live from each venue, ensuring fans don’t miss a moment, wherever the footy is played.

SEN’s on‑site programming will feature an all‑star line‑up of talent, with:

Hosted by Brodie Smith (Sunday) and John Casey (both days), fans can watch all the action from the Essendon v Melbourne game at Adelaide Oval on Saturday, and the GWS v Richmond game from Barossa Park on Sunday.

Gather Round will also mark the launch of Fireball merchandise, with fans able to purchase exclusive SEN and Fireball caps from the SkyCity outside broadcast site throughout the week. Merchandise will include Fireball hats featuring slogans well known to regular listeners: ‘Get Up Early, Do The Work’, ‘6:01’, ‘Guts Up Cup’, ‘Baller’ and ‘D.G.B.B.W.Y.K’.

The SkyCity activation will feature live broadcasts, merchandise, giveaways, games, prizes and ticket opportunities, with a range of SEN partners activating across the week including Heinz, Toyota, Mega Rewards, Tasmania Devils Football Club and Mildura Base Public Hospital.

The AFL Record and its Metricon branded team of sellers will also team up to activate throughout Gather Round, with celebrity guest Metricon AFL Record sellers to be spotted around the precinct selling a special Gather Round edition of the AFL Record. The Gather Round The Clock content commitment kicked off with an outside broadcast from Revo Fitness Angle Vale this morning.

SEG Chief Executive, Craig Hutchison, said Gather Round had become one of the biggest weeks on the AFL calendar, and SEN was proud to once again deliver unmatched coverage.

“Gather Round has quickly become one of the great festival events in Australian sport, and SEN is thrilled to be right at the centre of it,” Hutchison said.

“From broadcasting every game live, to delivering more than 100 hours of content from the heart of Adelaide, we’re giving footy fans access, atmosphere and insight wherever they are. We’d love fans to come down to SkyCity, take in the shows, and be part of what is set to be a huge week of football.”
