STAWELL

Race 2 | 8. Wavelets

I think she finds her right distance today. Went forward last night off a hot tempo and got tired late. Back to 1300m is a win. The races she ran well in she was allowed to find her rhythm and they were also strong races. If she finds her groove today and she is drawn well to do so, I think she is the classiest in the race and wins.

Race 4 | 9. Eismond

I have zero idea how she will go fresh, 2000m in a new country but what I am confident about is that this is easier than the Japanese 2000m races she was contesting and she always ran well! She has had the early speed to sit on pace which is what id like to see today from her. She has trialled and jumped out ok without being asked to do a huge amount. Good track is perfect for her as is the case for the Japanese and IF and I contend it is an IF but IF she has acclimatised well, she will beat these.

Race 6 | 8. Vincentina

Stays at the 1600m back to back which I think helps after he was a bit soft late but fourth up today works. Might take a seat today from a sticky gate as he went hard for home early. Little rain wouldn’t hurt but good track wont stop him. He finds an easier race and with a little speed map luck, I think he wins.

ORANGE

Race 2 | 6. Favour The Bold

I think he finds his race today. He was just ok last start but was slightly tougher and he didn’t have a huge amount of luck than this but I think the 1300m is a little better as well. Drawn really nicely and it worries me early with his gate speed but id love to see him box seat. The good track is a win as well and with a little luck this time , he will be mighty hard to beat!

Race 3 | 4. Nightwalker

This is a gutsy call to back him after 36 winless starts but he always runs well and especially here at Orange! He is drawn perfectly for run of the race. He enjoys a good track but more importantly he is drops back to his favourite trip! His runs recently have been good and he has been right there! Outside of the heavily backed debutant who has trialled well it isn't a deep race. Take the quinella as a little saver as these 2 will run 1-2 but I'm thinking its 37th time is a charm!

Mick Gannon

ORANGE

Race 4 | 7. The Magnet

Draws to perfection, leads on her ear and gains the services of Winona Costin who rates them well. Her last start effort is more than enough to win this. Catch me if you can.

Race 5 | 1. Rumours Abound

Ella Brent claiming 3kg will look to overcome the wide draw early and if she can land top two in run, he should prove too strong for Iowna Benz. Class galloper in a very limited race.

Race 7 | 2. Sarrismo

No ceiling for him yet, maps to perfection and will relish this Orange circuit. Looks the good thing of the day.
