RACE 1 - 11:28AM Sportsbet Race Previews Maiden Plate (1250 METRES)

TORPEDOES has been placed at three of four starts, the latest here on January 31. He won a recent trial here, was 4th in a Murray Bridge jump-out, and is sure to run well from a good barrier. BRAND HER BOLD ran well behind stablemate Mathematician on the outer track on debut and was then beaten 2.81 lengths behind Snallygaster at Oakbank on April 4. She draws a nice gate. Stablemate JUXTAPOSE was beaten 1.82 lengths in that race and draws a nice barrier. TRADE GAME was 3rd in that race beaten 3.35 lengths. GOLDEN GURU has been placed at three of seven and was beaten 0.57 lengths behind Stylish Sparkle at Murray Bridge last time out. FOREVER A DIAMOND was 2nd in that race. GREEN SUMMER debuts for Stuart Gower and won a recent trial here nicely.

RACE 2 - 12:02PM M&J Chickens Handicap (1000 METRES)

SHOCAP was good running 2nd behind Mathematician on the outer track two runs back and then followed up with a good run beaten 3.07 lengths behind Signature Scent there, which is good form for a race like this. GOLDEN HORIZON resumes and has two wins and two seconds from his six starts. He hasn’t raced since the Rebel Raider Final on the outer track back on November 22, but has looked good winning a jump-out there and a trial on this track. IT’SANOTHERBATTLE was impressive on debut, scoring a 2.57 length win at Murray Bridge back on October 29 and won a Strathalbyn trial by 16 lengths before resuming when she raced greenly and was run down by Sir Myka and beaten 0.68 lengths in 3rd at Oakbank. CAPTAIN HAPPY showed talent, winning two of his first three starts, his only defeat coming when 2nd behind Major Rumble. He has won a Strathalbyn jump-out and trial, beating subsequent winner Snallygaster, and gets some weight relief. ODESSA has a handy record and was beaten 4.05 lengths first-up behind Headbanger at Cranbourne in a BM64. SKADOOSH has a handy record and was a winner here back on November 8 and was beaten 1.73 lengths behind Mostly For Show in the Rebel Raider Final on the outer track before a break. He was 2nd in a recent trial here. Stablemate BRED ‘EM ALL is on debut for the Jolly stable and has been 2nd in a recent jump out and trial here. He draws a nice gate, and Jake Toeroek opts to ride. CARPE ASTRA broke his maiden at Murray Bridge before another good effort when he rode the speed and was beaten 0.52 lengths behind Sir Myka at Oakbank.

RACE 3 - 12:37PM Sportsbet Green Tick Handicap (1550 METRES)

VANITEUX hasn’t finished further back than 2nd at his past five and was a Strathalbyn winner three starts back and runner-up his past two, the latest beaten 2.71 lengths behind Scandalize on the outer track and he draws a perfect gate. MYSTIC WONDER ran well beaten 0.11 lengths by Brown Nose Day Gal at Oakbank last time and draws the inside gate. CASINO SHOWGIRL strips fitter for one run back when beaten 3.58 lengths behind Gold Spirit on the outer track. WINE BARRON was well beaten by Scandalize first-up but has been in the money at three of five second-up. SMOTHER stuck on well when beaten 0.27 lengths in 3rd behind Bargain Boy on the outer track. ANDREW’S MEMMORY won three of four starts before he was beaten 6.53 lengths behind Burning Bright last time over 2275m and comes back in trip with a claim.

RACE 4 - 1:12PM Murray & Barb Stewart's 68th Anniversary Handicap (1000 METRES)

WILTSHIRE SQUARE good running 3rd behind Mathematician on the outer track before he again ran well beaten 1.85 lengths behind Signature Scent there last time. That looks good form for this and the blinkers go on for the first time. VANLEE is a former Joe Pride galloper now with Michael Hickmott and has been in the money at six of eight starts in NSW. He was placed behind Mathematician in a recent trial here and draws a perfect gate. HEAVEN ROCKS was a winner on the outer track on November 4, beating De Luca, and was very good first-up when beaten 0.87 lengths behind Miss Slipstream here. SNALLYGASTER led throughout for a 1.82 lengths Oakbank win first-up from a spell but draws wide here.

RACE 5 - 1:47PM Rex Thompson 70th Birthday Handicap (1000 METRES)

STREET ARTIST won consecutive races over the border as an odds-on favourite last time in work and was spelled after being beaten 1.25 lengths in 2nd behind Pallaton at Flemington on November 4. He’s jumped out well ahead of this and looks hard to beat. ENUFF SEDUCTION won three in succession last time in work and did some work first-up and stuck to the task well beaten 3.66 lengths behind High On Sugar on the outer track. He draws a gate and should run well again, even with the big weight. Stablemate MINTULEE continues to race well and was beaten 0.24 lengths on the outer track last time, and was a winner here three runs back. DELCARED was a Murray Bridge winner back on January 10 and was 4th beaten 1.09 lengths behind High On Sugar on the outer track last time out. He gets in OK after the claim. BRISTLER has been racing in great for and led throughout to beat Mintulee by 0.24 lengths on the outer track last time. He’ll make his presence felt from the middle gate. WILD BEAU has won seven of 17 in the NT and won a recent Strathalbyn trial ahead of his local debut for the Oxlade stable. FROM THE BLOCK has his share of ability and was beaten 2.72 lengths in 6th behind Shady Thinker before a break. He won a recent trial here. IN LOVE was a winner on the outer track on February 28 and won a recent Murray Bridge jump-out.

RACE 6 - 2:22PM Holly O's 18th Handicap (1950 METRES)

OXFORD BLUE comes off a solid effort when 2nd in the Onkaparinga Cup at Oakbank last time beaten 0.75 lengths behind Savatoff. He just missed behind Cash on the outer track prior and looks perfectly placed from an inside gate. SIR KINGSFORD led and looked to have his chance in that Oakbank race, but his best is right up to winning a race like this. BURNING BRIGHT was beaten 5.46 lengths in that race, and was a winner here three starts back. DARKNCONFIDENTIAL ran well in the Listed C S Hayes two runs back behind an in-form Arran Bay and was beaten 5.15 lengths behind Wymark at Stawell last time. TALISAY comes up in trip and was back on a strong speed when beaten 9.93 lengths in 7th behind Scandalize last time. She rises again in trip. EL JAMES ran well in the Lord Reims beaten 1.91 in 5th lengths behind Eventually before he was plain when beaten 12.93 lengths behind Bring Forth here. KIRKLISTON BLU won the Strathalbyn Cup four runs back and was beaten 13.65 lengths behind American Wolf in the Adelaide Cup here last start. TEST THE LAW comes off a good effort, beaten 0.99 lengths behind Van Roy in the Penola Cup.

RACE 7 - 3:02PM Sportsbet H C Nitschke Stakes (1400 METRES)

EXIT ran well in the G2 Armanasco at Caulfield behind Sheza Alibi, then beaten 6 lengths in the G3 Kewney at Flemington before scoring a 0.75 length win there last time beating Chowdown. He looks hard to beat here from a middle gate. ROHESIA was beaten 2.06 lengths behind Nostra Bella in the VGold Dash at Caulfield before winning a Class 3 at Ballarat last time. She draws a nice gate and should give this a shake. LIVE was beaten 4.87 lengths behind Sheza Alibi in the G3 Vanity back on November 1 and was beaten 4.71 lengths behind Extragalactic at Caulfield last time. YELLOWJACKET was beaten 1.4 lengths in that race and was a good winner on the outer track back on December 27. FARAKATA was a Geelong maiden winner last time as a $3.20 chance and draws out, but should run well. NO NO YES was a Newcastle maiden winner before he hit the line well beaten 1.74 lengths in 4th behind ONE MORE SONG in the Shillabeer at Oakbank last time.

RACE 8 - 3:42PM Sportsbet More Places Handicap (1250 METRES)

PORTARLINGTON is a 2yo taking on the older horses and hasn’t raced since winning on the outer track back on November 15. Stablemate FALANGHINA ran well beaten 2.24 lengths behind Gold Spirit here last time. ATTAIN is first-up in SA for Chris Bieg and was placed at Caulfield two runs back before being beaten 0.75 lengths behind Blue Bandit at Pakenham. ICE SYMPHONY is knocking on the door and was good when beaten 2.08 lengths in 4th behind Gold Spirit on the outer track and draws the inside. WIND RUSH is a former Kiwi who was $15-$11 when beaten 6.12 lengths behind Regal Secret here at his Australian debut. BOUNCING BEYOND was OK first-up beaten 2.9 lengths in 6th behind Palm Of Jumeirah at Oakbank and draws a nice gate. INVERTATIONAL comes off a good run when beaten 2.17 lengths in 4th behind Palm Of Jumeirah at Oakbank. THE BIG WHEEL has a good record and comes off a 2.3 lengths Penola win, beating Smashing Action.

RACE 9 - 4:17PM Dominant Clean Sweep Handicap (Heat 8 of Festival State Sprint Series) (1250 METRES)

METRICAL has been in the money at all three runs here, and his fresh record is very good. He was beaten 3.44 lengths behind Cicala before a break and was beaten 5.33 lengths in a Strathalbyn trial behind Mic Drop. He draws a perfect gate and should give this a shake. I AM VELVET has a good record and was back and strong late when beaten 4.42 lengths behind Rue De Royale at Caulfield. She should give this a shake. I CATCHEM FOX resumes and was in good form beating Snoopy Now at Murray Bridge three runs back and on speed when beaten 2.38 lengths behind Surprise Coming on the outer track on January 31. GINGER SINNER was in super form last time in work, winning the Riziz Final before a break. He was well beaten in a Strathalbyn trial recently and has Equicast for the first time. EMPIRE OF PAIN is a former Victorian first-up for Michael Hickmott and was placed at Caulfield on November 19 and was placed in a recent Murray Bridge jump-out. THE BIG SOSSO has a handy record and won three in succession before a break. He has trialled up well and must be respected, having placed at all four first-up runs. CLARENCE continues to race well and was beaten 2.46 lengths behind Palm Of Jumeirah at Oakbank last time. ACAPELLA MOON is racing well beaten 2.96 lengths behind Brown Nose Day Gal at Oakbank last time.

RACE 10 - 4:55PM Fleurieu Milk Company Handicap (Heat 8 of Adelaide In Autumn Series) (1400 METRES)

NICISH was runner-up here twice before she was beaten 1.06 lengths in 4th behind Brown Nose Day Gal at Oakbank. She draws the middle and should take some beating here. JUSTA STAR has the ability and can improve on his first run in almost a year, but was placed behind Stay Focused here in the Nitschke last year and should be in the mix. CHIPSON has a good record and was well beaten behind Mystic Wonder on the outer track back on November 1. He draws out but is capable of running a big race. SYNCHRO was beaten 2.52 lengths behind Gold Spirit first-up and was 2nd in a Murray Bridge jump-out since. STARTS NOW draws the inside and was beaten 2.54 lengths behind Zoupurring before a break and won a recent jump-out here. INEXPLORABLE was OK at Flemington two runs back and then beaten 3.55 lengths in the Bairnsdale Cup last time. He draws a good barrier. JILLADORA was a winner on the outer track two runs back and then beaten 0.52 lengths behind Brown Nose Day Gal and gets in well after the claim. PIWHANE has won his past couple; IMAMANZOR led throughout to win at Oakbank last time.
