Which side is the most overrated in the NRL?
By SEN
Corey Parker and Andrew McCullough have named their most overrated side in the NRL.
With the competition entering Round 8, all 17 teams have had time to build their form and premiership credentials this season.
One of those sides that have had their form questioned are the Bulldogs.
A week after defeating the ladder-leading Penrith Panthers, the Dogs then proceeded to be comfortably beaten by the Eels, showing their vast range in capabilities.
With a clash against an injury-plagued Broncos team on Friday night, Parker believes that the Bulldogs should be beating them comfortably.
“We hear all this chat around the Bulldogs”, Parker said on SENQ Breakfast.
“We hear all these rumours and what they can do and what they can't do and where they finished last year, etc.
“I think they're a little bit overrated, personally.
“If we're being fair dinkum, they should beat Brisbane, and I am as Bronco as they come.
“They beat Penrith a couple of weeks ago, then they got spanked by Parra.
“But Brisbane has 13 top-line players out, like it’s ridiculous how many players they have out, so they should beat Brisbane.”
While Andrew McCullough believes it's South Sydney, given the talent they possess.
“If the Rabbits can get that done (on Saturday), I think they're not overrated,” he added.
“But the questions about the talent (that) they've got on the side, but they've never beaten the Storm, and they're ripe for the picking.
“You talk about five in a row, could they potentially make it six?
“If the Rabbits can get that done, I think that puts a lot of questions to bed about where they're at.
“The question marks will be about (whether) Wayne (Bennett) can get this team back up to where they need to be.
“So, I think a little bit of spotlight there on the Rabbits with the talent they have and how they need to perform.
“So, it's the Bunnies for mine (at the moment).”
The Bulldogs will take on the Broncos on ANZAC Day eve at Suncorp Stadium.
Kick-off takes place at 8pm AEST, with SEN having live coverage of the match on SENQ and on the SEN app following the conclusion of the Sharks v Cowboys match.
