Line coaches Brett Montgomery and Craig Jennings are leaving the Giants coaches box, while Ben Hart is likely to do the same.

Hart is contracted but exploring other opportunities, while Montgomery is keen on a fresh start elsewhere.

Jennings could yet take on a head of development role if he doesn’t also depart the club.

The assistant coach exodus comes as forwards Jesse Hogan and Jake Stringer get set to leave GWS, while captain Toby Greene is likely to join Geelong via free agency.

Richmond premiership player Dion Prestia is a chance to join the club in a development role, but also potentially as a player.

But Kingsley will also have a new-look coaching staff in 2027 as he plots a path back to September.

VFL coach Robbie Chancellor is a strong chance to be elevated to an assistant coaching role less than a year after returning to the club.

Chancellor was sacked by the club in January 2023 after he was arrested and charged with drug possession.

The then-development coach pleaded guilty to possessing cocaine.

The 2026 season marked the first time in Kingsley’s four-year reign that the Giants have not played finals.
